  2. Wreaths Across America

    December 14, 2019, 2:00 PM @ Edgewood / Greenwood Cemetery

    The VFW in conjunction with the City will be hosting a ceremony as part of the National Wreaths Across America Program. The goal is to place a live, balsam fir veteran’s wreath at the headstone of every veteran buried there and spread patriotism and ensure no one is forgotten. We have 325 veterans in the cemetery. Please help honor and remember veterans by sponsoring a wreath, volunteering to participate in the wreath laying ceremony, and/or inviting friends and family.

  3. Holiday Pops featuring the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra

    December 14, 2019, 5:00 PM @ Northwest Recreation Complex

    The City of Apopka is proud to host a Celebration of the Holidays, featuring a special family-friendly concert from the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra with vocalists Chrystal Johnson and Brandon Martin. Bring your own blanket or chair and picnic basket, selected food and drink vendors will be on site for purchase. Parking is free for this event. Tents and pets are not permitted. Kids can enjoy the Instrument Petting Zoo from 4:00 to 4:40 PM and get a hands-on experience with different musical instruments. The Orchestra Event is rain or shine. No refunds will be issued in the event of bad weather. Printed ticket is required for entry.
