Mission Statement
The Building Division recognizes that safe buildings are vital to maintaining a safe and economically stable community. We endeavor to diligently enforce building codes through cooperation and open communication.
The Building Division finds it is in the best interest of the public health, safety and welfare of citizens and the general public to ensure public safety through the enforcement of City, State, and Federal codes governing construction.
To ensure code compliance, staff reviews plans, issues building permits, and performs inspections related to aspects of life-safety, structural integrity, handicap accessibility, and electrical, plumbing, fuel gas, heating and air-conditioning.
