City of Apopka Current Projects Updates as of 9/15/14
Apopka Downtown Pond:
The current phase of the project is completed. The second phase that consists of sidewalk & boardwalk is under design
Bradshaw Road Roadway and Drainage Improvements:
The road is currently being paved. The project is expected to be completed by the end of September or early October 2014.
Compressed Natural Gas (C.N.G.) Upgrades:
The new compressor and generator are set. The dispenser and the wiring system installation are in process. The project is expected to be completed and on line by the end of September or early October 2014.
Keene Road Reuse Water System:
Garney Construction was awarded the bid for the 48" Reuse Water Main along Keene Road and Clarcona Road. The contractor is preparing shop drawings and ordering the pipe material. The construction should start within 90 to 120 days. The project is estimated to be completed by August 2015.
North Shore Reuse Water Treatment Facility:
Vogel Bros. Building Co. was awarded the bid for the North shore Reuse Water Treatment Facility. The shop submittals are under review. The contractor is anticipated to be on site and start construction the week of September 29, 2014. The project is estimated to be completed by January 2016.
