How to use the DemandStar System
Open an Internet Web Browser, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, and enter the Onvia DemandStar Web site URL, http://www.demandstar.com/ in the address field.
Click to the “View Bid Opportunities” banner, and click on the link labeled, “View”. A login page will be displayed.
Enter your Username (typically your e-mail address), and Password in the designated spaces, then click on the “Login” button.
Click on the link labeled “Suppliers”.
Click on the link labeled "View Bids". (If you were notified of the project via e-mail or fax, it will be displayed on the page titled, “Bids”. If the project is not displayed, follow the instructions from Item 4 on.)
Under Search Criteria, in the "Show Bids" field, select "All bids in the system".
In the "Bid Status" field, select "Active".
In the "Agency" field, select the Agency for which you are seeking plan documents.
Click on the button labeled "Search".
Locate the project for which you are seeking information, under the “Actions” column, click on the link labeled, "Download/Order".
Locate document to be downloaded, under the column labeled, "Actions", click on the link labeled, "Download" (The display may read “Purchase”. In this case, you may want to contact Onvia Supplier services to request a service that allows you to download the document package free of charge.)
