Need More Recycling? Use the "R"!
You may already be aware that you may get an additional recycling cart. The cost of the cart is $60 with an additional $8.00 per month pickup fee. Also, if you have a 64 gallon cart, you may exchange it for a 95 gallon cart at no cost.
Another option, is to use the city-issued sticker with the "R."
The city has created large “R” stickers, free of charge, that can be applied to the the lid of your current city-issued Trash cart. On your regularly scheduled recycling collection day, you may use this trash cart with the the city's "R" sticker on the top. When the driver comes by on your recycling day and sees the "R", it will be picked up as recycling and not trash (please make sure there are only recycling materials in the cart at that time).
If you would like to receive an “R” sticker, or an additional Recycling cart (indicate size: 95 or 64 gallon), please call the City of Apopka, Public Services Department at 407-703-1731 between 8:00 a.m and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, or stop by at 748 E. Cleveland Street, Apopka, Florida.
