YOUTH PROGRAMS SPRING 2013
Youth Soccer
Youth soccer is offered to boys and girls ages 4-14 (player must be 4 prior to March 1, 2013 and not turn 15 prior to August 1, 2012). The age divisions are: Under 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13 and under 15.
Registration will start January 7th and run through January 18th. Participants can register at the Northwest Recreation Complex main office (3710 Jason Dwelley Parkway) from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or online at www.apopka.net.
Birth Certificates are required for all new players. Registration, practices and games take place at the Northwest Recreation Complex (3710 Jason Dwelley Pkwy., Apopka, FL 32712).
Registration fees for returning city resident players is $110. Registration fees for returning non-resident players is $150. These fees include application fees and uniform.
Registration fees for new city resident players is $130. Registration fees for new non-resident players is $170. This includes application fees, uniform fee and P.A.Y.S fees. P.A.Y. S is a one time class that one parent is required to attend before a child participates in the program.
Last season 700 players participated on 61 soccer teams of all ages and skill levels!

Dance
The City of Apopka Dance Program offers instruction in Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Acro, and lyrical for girls and boys ages 7 to 18. Children that are 4 years of age may take a Ballet/Acro combo class, 5 year old dancers begin with a Ballet/Tap combo class and 6 year old children may take a Ballet/Jazz combo class. Children ages 7 to 18 may take a full one hour class of their choosing. In addition, we also offer a Tiny Tots class for 3 year old children. All classes meet once per week for one hour of instruction (Tiny Tots meet once per week for 45 minutes of instruction).
All of our dance classes take place at the Fran Carlton Center located at 11 North Forest Avenue, Apopka, FL 32703.
After School Program
Williams’ Park has a wonderful after school program that includes athletics as well as tutoring and mentoring. The program is offered by Higher Level Skills, Inc., and is available for children in elementary, middle, and high schools. The program hours are Monday through Thursday, 3pm until 7pm. Williams' Park is also open during the school breaks and summer. Children may drop in and participate in a variety of activities. They will also be able to join in activities offered at our Winter, Spring, and Summer Adventure Camps. Please call 407-703-1742 for more information.
Tennis Lessons at Northwest Recreation Center
Apopka Tennis Academy’s certified instructors offer a variety of tennis classes, clinics, and leagues for youth ages 5 and up and adults of all ages. Group and private lessons are available. Call Eli at 407-718-2477 for more information.
Karate
Join us at the Fran Carlton Center, 11 North Forest Avenue, Apopka, 32703, on Tuesday and Thursday nights for an exciting Karate class. This class is offered to both children and adults and will be lead by Master Matthew Hutchinson of the World Tang Soo Do Association. Master Hutchinson has been teaching for 12 years and training in the Martial art for 22 years. His expertise is in self-defense, cane, rolling and falling, sword and breaking. Volleyball
Teen Sand Volleyball is offered for girls and boys in grades 6th-8th. Registration for City Residents is $50/player and Non City Residents is $75/player. A $10 registration fee is also charged. Registration starts February 4th through March 1st and is limited to the first 20 players. Participants can register online at www.apopka.net or at the main office at the Northwest Recreation Complex Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm.
