Welcome to the Apopka Fire Department. Now is such an exciting time to live and work in our growing city. The 80 full-time men and women of the Apopka Fire Department stand ready to do whatever we can to serve and ensure your safety from fire and other emergencies.
The Apopka Fire Department operates out of four stations, and in addition to providing fire protection, provides paramedic ambulance service (one of the first fire departments in the State of Florida to provide EMS), hazardous materials response and a technical rescue team that has special training in a variety of areas such as confined space rescue and high angle rescue.
The Department takes great pride in its Insurance Service Office (ISO) Class 1 rating which allows business and homeowners alike to enjoy very low fire insurance premiums. Apopka is one of only six fire departments in Florida with this Class 1 rating.
The Department is very active in public education bringing the message of injury prevention and fire safety to the citizens of our community. The Fire Department may be reached for a tour of our facilities, a home inspection, or a safety demonstration by calling 407-703-1756.
