Volunteer Firefighter
Volunteer firefighters are an integral part of the Apopka Fire Department. The Department maintains a roster of approximately 15 volunteers who augment the ranks of the career personnel and assist with fire suppression, rescue services, emergency medical care, and fire prevention.
Please be aware that in order to be eligible for a volunteer firefighter position, you must live within a pre-determined response distance of the Apopka Fire Department. You may contact the administrative headquarters for specific information regarding the set geographical boundaries and other requirements. Volunteer firefighter applications are accepted only at the time of recruitment.
