To conduct business in the City of Apopka, all businesses must have a Business Tax Receipt. This Business Tax Receipt is a tax for the privilege of engaging in business, occupation, or profession within our City. Some businesses also require a State license, and we are required to obtain a copy of this license prior to issuing the City’s Business Tax Receipt. Once you have completed the process and obtained your City BTR, you will also need a Business Tax Receipt from Orange County.
To apply for a Business Tax Receipt, call 407-703-1703, or visit Administrative Services at City Hall, 120 E. Main Street, Apopka (corner of Main St/US Hwy 441 and Park Avenue). We also offer applications for Commercial and Home Business Tax Receipts in portable document format (pdf) which may be downloaded from this site.
