This division is responsible for being the first responder to calls for service. It consists of watch commanders, sergeants and officers. Their duties are traditional patrol activities, initial investigations of possible criminal complaints, traffic assignments and related complaints. Its personnel also comprise several specialized units including: K-9, Field Training, Honor Guard, Special Response Team, Traffic Homicide, DUI investigations, Bike Patrol, Community Oriented Policing, Victim Advocate, and Agricultural Crimes Unit.
