Adult Program

Adult Softball and Kickball

We offer several adult softball leagues throughout the year, including men’s, women’s, senior’s, and co-ed. All leagues are sanctioned by the ISA. First place teams will receive a trophy and a t-shirt; second place teams will receive a trophy. On Monday nights we will also offer our new adult co-ed kickball league. Softball and kickball teams are accepted on a first come-first served basis. Your team must have a completed      registration form and have paid all necessary fees to be considered registered. There will be no Summer or Winter seasons for kickball.

The 2010 Fall Season will begin the week of September 13. Registration is currently open and will continue through August 13, 2010.

The 2011 winter season will begin on January 4th. Registration for returning teams will begin on October 10th and new teams may register October 26th through December 16th. The winter season will only be five weeks long and teams will play on Tuesday and Thursday.

The 2011 Spring season will begin the week of February 28th. Registration for returning teams will begin on January 10th and new teams may register January 24th though February 11th.

The 2011 Summer season will begin the week of June 6th. Registration for returning teams will begin on March 28th and new teams may register April 11 though May 13th.

The 2011 Fall season will begin the week of September 12th. Registration for returning teams will begin on July 11th and new teams may register July 18th though August 19th.

Games are held at the Northwest Recreation Complex, 3710 Jason Dwelley Parkway, Apopka, FL, 32712.

Zumba
Ditch the workout and join the party! Join certified Zumba Dance Fitness instructor, Jana McNally, as she guides you through a series of fun easy dances such as merengue, cha cha, flamenco, belly dance, reggae, salsa and more! This “exercise in disguise” will leave you wondering whether it was a workout or a party. No dance experience is required. Classes take place at the Fran Carlton Center, 11 North Forest Avenue, Apopka, 32703, every Thursday night between the hours of 7 PM and 8 PM. The cost is $5 per class and you pay as you go! Karate
Join us at the Fran Carlton Center on Tuesday and Thursday nights for an exciting Karate class. This class is offered to both children and adults and will be lead by Master Matthew Hutchinson of the World Tang Soo Do Association. Master Hutchinson has been teaching for 10 years and training in the Martial art for 20 years. His expertise is in self-defense, cane, rolling and falling, sword and breaking. Youth and Adult Volleyball Leagues
Visit the City of Apopka's Northwest Recreation Complex and play some beach volleyball under the lights! Leagues are organizing now in all different categories including youth leagues, church leagues, cooperate leagues, hospitality leagues, recreation leagues, co-ed leagues and competitive leagues.  Contact Melissa at 407-252-8511 or email volleyball.4.life@hotmail.com for more information.

Watercolor Class
Come join the fun with our adult watercolor class. Learn techniques in traditional watercolor and acrylic and find your hidden artistic talent! Classes are offered on Tuesday mornings from 9:30 AM to 1 PM. There is no set fee for this class, however, the instructor will accept donations to help cover her travel expenses. The instructor will give you a supply list at the first class you attend and help you with project ideas.
