Watercolor Class

Come join the fun with our adult watercolor class. Learn techniques in traditional watercolor and acrylic and find your hidden artistic talent! Classes are offered on Tuesday mornings from 9:30 AM to 1 PM. There is no set fee for this class, however, the instructor will accept donations to help cover her travel expenses. The instructor will give you a supply list at the first class you attend and help you with project ideas.

Bridge and Cards
Every Wednesday we offer a social bridge and card group. The bridge is mid-level and new players are asked to sign up in advance to be sure the tables are even. The card group always welcomes new members; there is no need to sign up in advance for this group. Just show up! Both groups meet at 10 AM on Wednesdays at the Fran Carlton Center.

Table and Board Games
Each Wednesday at 9 AM, we invite you to join our table game group. This is an informal gathering of senior adults who enjoy playing Rummikub, Scrabble, Checkers, and other games. Why not come and join the fun, or bring some friends and start your own gaming group! We have members interested in playing Canasta and Pinochle. Please call 407-703-1631 for more information.

Crafts and Chatter
Stop by for a morning of creativity at the Fran Carlton Center. Each Wednesday, between the hours of 9 AM and 11 AM, our craft group meets to work on their projects, share ideas, and share conversation. If you are currently working on a project and can’t seem to find the time to finish it, or just want to get some new ideas, stop by and join in the fun. For more information, please call 407-703-1631.

AARP
Monthly AARP chapter meetings are held at the Fran Carlton Center on the second Friday of each month. The meetings last from 10 AM until 12 PM and are fun and informative. Please call 407-703-1631 for further information regarding these meetings or call 1-888-OUR-AARP (1-888-687-2277) for information about how you can join AARP. You can also visit AARP on the World Wide Web by visiting www.AARP.org.

AARP Driver Safety Program
Become a safe driver and cut costs on your vehicle insurance by attending this two-day class. You will learn current rules of the road, how to operate your vehicle more safely in today's challenging driving environment, and some adjustments to common age related changes in vision, hearing, and reaction time. The fee is $12 for AARP members and $14 for nonmembers for both days. Class times are from 9 AM to 1 PM each day at the Fran Carlton Center, 11 North Forest Avenue, Apopka, 32703. Please call 407-703-1631 for future dates and information.
