Water Reclamation
The City of Apopka's Water Reclamation Facility (WRF), also known as Project ARROW (Apopka Regional Reuse of Water), is currently permitted to treat 4.5 million gallons of wastewater per day (MGD), with an average daily flow of 3.250 MGD.
The sources of the wastewater treated at the WRF comes from residential, commercial and industrial customers.

The WRF treats all incoming wastewater to a standard that provides for 100% public access reuse of all treated water. The City is currently under construction on an expansion of this facility that will take the permitted treatment capacity to 8.0 MGD and provide for Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR) and compliance with the Wekiva Parkway and Protection Act.
The City currently supplies an average daily flow of 7.0 MGD of reclaimed water to over 7,000 residential and commercial customers.

Recognition
The City is an active participant in the growth of reclaimed water use in the State of Florida and has been recognized for its leadership in the field, having been presented with the David W York Water Reuse Award in 1997.
